“I am studying, but I am not sure my approach is effective.”
For professional accountancy and tax students who are putting time into study but are not always sure that the way they are studying is helping them make enough progress.
You may be working hard, but still find yourself wondering:
- Am I actually remembering what I study?
- Am I spending too much time reading and making notes?
- Am I avoiding question practice because it shows me what I do not know?
- Am I using my limited study time well?
- Is there a better way to prepare for these exams alongside work?
The Smart Study Pathway is designed to help you answer those questions and make your study more focused, effective and realistic.
What you get
- Smart Study Strategies for Professional Exam Success on-demand course
- 60-minute private session with Edel, booked after you complete the course
- Seven-day follow-up in writing to help you reflect on what you have started to put into practice
How it works
You complete the on-demand course first.
The course helps you understand how to study more effectively, including how to improve recall and retention, move away from passive study, use question practice more purposefully, manage distractions and create an approach that works alongside a demanding job.
Then you meet privately with Edel for 60 minutes.
Because you have already completed the course, you do not need to spend the session learning the strategies again.
Instead, you can focus on your own exam preparation.
You might look at:
- what is working well in your current approach
- where you may be spending time without getting enough return
- how to build more effective question practice into your study
- how to approach revision more realistically
- how to manage study when work becomes particularly busy
- what you may need to do differently from this point onwards
The session is focused on the areas that are most relevant to you at that stage of your preparation.
Seven-day follow-up
Seven days after your private session, Edel will follow up with you by email.
This gives you a chance to reflect on what you have started to change, what is working and what you want to keep focusing on.
Is this for you?
The Smart Study Pathway may suit you if you are already studying but feel unsure about how effective your current approach is.
You do not need to be badly behind or struggling with everything.
You may simply have reached the point where putting in more hours no longer feels like the answer.
The aim is to help you make better use of the study time you already have and feel clearer about how you are preparing for your exams.
